The Hayashi martial arts legacy began with Professor Tarow Ty Hayashi, a pioneer of martial arts in El Paso. He dedicated his life to martial arts, teaching, and building character.
Professor Hayashi founded the International Zen Bujutsukan Federation of North America in 1955 and became known for his knowledge of Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, Kendo, Aikido, and other traditional martial arts. Holds an 8th Degree Black Belt (Hachidan) in the art of Judo and is in the hall of fame
His son, Taichi Hayashi, continued his father’s teachings and dedicated his life to preserving and expanding tradition. Through generations of training, the focus has remained on discipline, perseverance, respect, and character.
Today, Hayashi’s Dojo continues that legacy, carrying forward the knowledge and traditions passed down through the Hayashi family while sharing the martial arts with a new generation.
