Registration/ Weigh-ins Tournament site, Friday November 14th from 4pm-7pm.
Deadline for registrations/weigh-ins for Youth Friday August 29th at 7 pm
Tournament Start: Saturday, November 15th, promptly at 9 am starting with 4-year-old divisions. Doors open at 8 am
Referee/Coach Meeting: 8:30 am
Awards: Gold, silver, and bronze medals for each division. 1st,2nd,3rd
Judo Gis: blue or white Judo Gi, Jiu-Jitsu Gi will be allowed as long as top and pants are the same color. Must be correct size for the individual.
Entry fees: $45 per division $5 spectator fee. Cash, checks or any major credit cards accepted. Make checks payable to Hayashi’s Martial Arts Academy.
Divisions: All divisions are determined at the time of weigh ins and are subject to modification based on entries. Each skill, gender, and age category will be separated into weight divisions within 10 lbs of each other, such as: light, middle and heavy. All decisions by the tournament director are final.
Weight Divisions:
Rules: All matches will be conducted using the current IJF contest rules with the following modifications: 1.No Kansetsu waza (armbars) Armbars will be allowed ONLY in the Brown/Black (17+) divisions. 2. No shime waza (chokes) in: any junior divisions younger than 13- years old and No / armbars is allowed. 3. Hand touches below the belt during standing play will be a shido penalty. 4.
